#PeopleofJSU: “My favorite childhood movie is ‘Tinker Bell’. She’s also my inspiration for going into the engineering field. Her confidence and independence shaped my understanding of what it means to be a girl boss. As a tinker fairy, she was always inventing and fixing broken gadgets.
Growing up, I did a lot of building too, especially with my dad. He would work on cars and teach me how to fix certain parts.
I chose to study Industrial Technology because I realized that engineering is the foundation for everything. From extensive research to building weather and temperature humidity systems, my major has shown me the many different ways I can help people.
Being passionate about app development, coding, and programming has led me to new ideas to help the younger generation. Ultimately, I want to build a toy that helps kids with learning disabilities. It would be a tool to enrich learning with gentle reminders and fidget tools for brain stimulation.
