This week's featured childhood cancer hero Maddox Potter! Maddox was a brother, a friend, an athlete, a student, and a very accomplished junior golfer. From local U.S. Kids Golf tournaments to the 2023 Under Armour Summer Junior Nationals, Maddox brought his skill and A-game into everything he did. Then just weeks into his freshman golf season, he began experiencing back pain. His diagnosis didn't come until December: stage IV alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. After six months of treatment, the cancer had spread to Maddox's brain, and a year later, Maddox decided to stop further treatment. He died at home on January 24, 2025, at the age of 16, surrounded by everyone who loves him.
