September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. We honour the Survivors of residential schools and the children who never made it home. We stand with their families and communities and promise to never forget the horrific history and lasting impacts that colonial policies have had and continue to have across generations of Indigenous peoples.
We are committed to the path of ongoing healing and meaningful reconciliation with Indigenous communities through remembrance, reflection and continued learning. Throughout the day, we are amplifying the voices of Indigenous communities, including our partners at downiewenjack and IshkodeRecords
Today, you can listen and learn from Indigenous voices by tuning into major media outlets and radio stations across the country that are offering the opportunity to pause, reflect and hold space for Indigenous voices through Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund's 'A Day To Listen'.
