Drugs in FISH?🩸😬💉Seriously … 👇 📍Key Largo thefloridakeys Fishing Guide and FIU PHD Candidate, Nick Castillo captnickcastillo , needed our help in researching how pharmaceutical drugs make their way from humans into the Ocean. In order to help we first had to catch a fish that is the most sensitive to absorbing drugs that could be in the water… the bonefish. After trailering up from hawkscayresort with our ameratrail_boat_trailers , we met with Nick and poled the flats outside of Key Largo’s Pennekamp State Park It wasn’t long until we came across a school of the fish we needed. We poled after them and Nick made a great cast that landed perfectly in front of the school. Nick let it sit and then he felt the fish pick up the shrimp. After drawing blood and taking some measurements, We released the fish unharmed.
