People had some strong feelings after hearing Young Thug’s new album “UY SCUTI” last night, tying it back to Lil Baby’s “WHAM” and Travis Scott’s “JACKBOYS 2” 😬 Do you agree with what’s being said here? Personally I haven’t been a big fan of what any of these rappers have put out for the past 3-4 years… for me it oftentimes feels too commercial, not that authentic or interesting, almost like they’re more interested in hype and sales rather than taking artistic risks. That’s why I find myself a lot more invested in the underground rap scene, because that’s where the new cool stuff is being made.
