Get a discount travel card for you: Depending on your age, you can either get a Young Scot Card or Railcard to receive discounted travel. Check your eligibility for cheaper tickets or even free bus travel. 3. Walk or cycle for short distances: Glasgow is a very walkable city, especially around the University. You can also find bike hire schemes like Ovo Bike for when you need to cycle. The University offers free Ovo Bike memberships for staff & students. 4. Bring your own lunch to University: If you are unable to go home for lunch, bringing your own food is cheaper than eating out every day.
