It was “A Night of Encanto” indeed. Saturday evening I had the honor o emceeing “Noche de Encanto” loyolachicago encantoartsorg is a music program that travels to different schools and colleges exposing young musicians to a fusion of opera arias, mariachi, bolero, Latin jazz and cumbia. Last week, Encanto Arts hosted a week of workshops for music students including the Loyola choir, that culminated with a beautiful concert where they played and sang along side professionals. Listening to a choral version of Juan Gabriel hits was other worldly.
