Here’s the breakdown:
Ingest with Proxies:
All raw media goes through Adobe Media Encoder. It creates a primary workable file for our server and a lightweight proxy file so the editor can start working immediately without waiting.
The Central Hub:
Our media server is a Synology SA 6400, a NAS that can hold up to two petabytes of footage.
Cloud Sync to Dropbox:
We use a service called Cloud Sync on the Synology to create a bi-directional link to Dropbox.
Seamless Collaboration:
