Planned Parenthood’s two clinics in Louisiana closed on Tuesday after what the president of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast — which also includes clinics in Texas — described as “compounding political attacks that have dismantled public health infrastructure.” The clinics, located in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, had not offered abortion services at any time in their 40-year history.
