The SM East varsity boys’ soccer team is faced off against their rivals the SM South Raiders on Sep. 23. The Lancers’ record this season is 4-2 after a loss to the Mill Valley Jaguars. They opened the game at SM South with a goal in the first four minutes into the first half, leading 1-0. The Lancers scored two more times to finish off the half, one of the goals by junior Henry Marien-Brovont. Starting the second half, Lancers kept possession of the ball on the Raiders side, and with 15 minutes left in the half, scored again, making the score 4-0. Finally, with 5 minutes left in the game, sophomore Danny O’Connor, scored, finishing off the game with a score of 5-0, defeating the Raiders. Senior goalie Will Griffith and the defense, had the teams second shutout game of the season, meaning they didn’t let a single goal in the duration of the game.
