EXCLUSIVE: Archie and the gang are eying a return to television in a new apocalyptic setting on a new platform. Disney+ has put in development 'Afterlife With Archie', an hourlong drama series based on the best-selling #Archie comic book series by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Francesco Francavilla.⁠ ⁠ The project, which has received a script-to-series commitment, comes from the same auspices as the CW’s 'Riverdale' and Netflix’s 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' writer Aguirre-Sacasa, Greg Berlanti‘s Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros.
