Blackout! is the debut studio album by American hip hop duo #MethodMan & #Redman. Released in 1999, it marked the first full-length project from the two rappers following years of successful collaborations. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, selling 254,000 copies in its opening week. On January 6, 2000, it was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Beyond its commercial success, Blackout! helped cement Method Man and Redman’s reputation as a powerhouse duo and served as a precursor to their 2001 feature film, How High.
