Today Austin Prep recognized ten Commended Students in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program. The National Merit Scholarship Program is a prestigious annual competition that recognizes outstanding academic achievement among high school students nationwide. Recognition was based on exceptional performance on the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Of the 1.5 million students who took the test nationally, approximately 34,000 students across the nation receive Commended Student recognition.
