This morning, we were on Twickenham’s doorstep celebrating the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final with National Lottery-funded richmondrugby, a grassroots club at the heart of women and girls’ rugby. 💪
Richmond Women played their first international in 1986, and since then over 100 players have gone on to represent their country, showing just how far the game has come.
With £170m of National Lottery funding invested in rugby, Richmond’s players are part of a legacy transforming the women’s game. 💪
We were joined by football legend lucybronze and World Cup-winning maggiealphonsi, alongside englandrugby Deborah Griffin, officialsportengland, Kate Peers and worldrugby, Sarah Massey.
None of this would be possible without National Lottery players. 💛❤️🖤
