Today, we kicked off the Women’s Rugby World Cup at houghtonrugby in Sunderland - a grassroots club changing the game for women and girls’ rugby. 💪 Thanks to £8,765 of National Lottery funding, Houghton has grown its women and girls’ programme that is now home to over 120 players and still growing. 💪 We were on the ground with rugby legends maggiealphonsi and ugomonye to find out just how far the game has come. 💪 None of this would be possible without National Lottery players.
