Accountability does not come from throwing children away. The data is clear: when kids are tried as adults, they are more likely to reoffend and commit more serious crimes. Real accountability means directly facing harm, working to repair that harm, and investing in treatment and transformation. Children must be held responsible, but they are not disposable.
