Legacy Week Faculty Spotlight: Fabrice Calmels This week, we are honored to feature year-round faculty member Fabrice Calmels fabricecalmels , Principal dancer with the Joffrey Ballet whose remarkable journey began at the Paris Opera Ballet School. From there, his career has spanned continents and traditions, bringing him to Chicago where he became a defining presence with the Joffrey Ballet. Fabrice’s commanding artistry has brought to life iconic roles such as Apollo, Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and the title role in Lar Lubovitch’s Othello. His career has also reached beyond the stage, from television and film appearances to setting a Guinness World Record as the Tallest Ballet Dancer in the World. As a performer, choreographer, advocate, and mentor, Fabrice continues to expand the reach of dance while inspiring future generations.
