Legacy Week Faculty Spotlight: Margo Sappington This week, we are honored to feature Margo Sappington themargosappington, international choreographer and director whose career began at 17 as a dancer with the Joffrey Ballet. Just a few years later, she launched her choreographic career with Oh! Calcutta!—the start of an adventurous path that has taken her across four continents. Margo has created works for companies including the Joffrey Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Houston Ballet, Ballets Jazz de Montréal, and Nederlands Dans Theater. Known for her fearless creativity and love of collaboration, she choreographed the Joffrey’s groundbreaking Billboards to the music of Prince and has worked with artists from the Indigo Girls to William Shatner. With honors including a Lifetime Achievement in Choreography from the Joffrey Ballet, Margo continues to inspire dancers worldwide.
