The momentum of Legacy Week carried into its second day, with our Ballet and Jazz & Contemporary Trainees diving into another full schedule of classes shaped by the artistry and lineage of the Joffrey tradition. Each studio became a meeting ground for history and innovation, as faculty and Legacy members shared both technique and the stories that give it meaning.
During lunch, our Community Hour once again became the heart of the day; this time with our Ballet Trainees. Our dancers were joined by Legacy faculty and alumni who continue to carry forward the vision of Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino: Margo Sappington, Nicole Duffy, Lissette Lucas, Mauro Villanueva, Fabrice Calmels, and Dean Meg Paul. Together, they reflected on the impact of their own mentors, offered wisdom from their professional careers, and reminded our trainees that they are part of a lineage much larger than themselves.
