Legacy Week Faculty Spotlight: Mary Barton
One of the most meaningful parts of Legacy Week is welcoming back Joffrey legacy artists and dancers who helped shape our history and continue to inspire the next generation. This week, we are honored to bring Mary Barton into our studios.
Mary Barton is widely recognized for her extraordinary blend of technical brilliance and artistic expression as a performing artist. Today, she continues to share those same qualities with her students as a teacher and coach, inspiring dancers to reach new levels of artistry in the studio.
In 1986, she joined the Joffrey Ballet NY/LA where she performed a variety of roles in the great ballets of the 20th century. Robert Joffrey created the role of Clara on her for the world premiere of his new Nutcracker.
