Our Advocacy Officer recently visited Badakhshan province and one of our Therapeutic Feeding Units (TFUs). Earlier this year, this facility was forced to close due to U.S. funding cuts. Thanks to support from the European Union, it has since reopened—allowing us to continue delivering life-saving treatment to children suffering from severe malnutrition. In a country already grappling with chronic underfunding, recent earthquakes have added yet another layer of crisis. While our programs were not directly impacted by the earthquakes, the wider humanitarian need continues to grow. Action Against Hunger does not currently operate in the most affected areas, but we are actively assessing how we can respond. Every donation matters—especially now.
