🎉 Happy 75th anniversary to Peanuts! 🎂 Peanuts creator, the late Charles “Sparky” Schulz, and his wife, Jean, who's still actively involved with Canine Companions, became part of our family over 38 years ago - all from meeting one of our #servicedogs! And since then, the Schulz family, Peanuts and Canine Companions have been woven together into the fabric of Canine Companions history. Charles lived and worked in Santa Rosa, California - where our headquarters is located - for over 30 years, using the natural landscape of Sonoma County as inspiration for his comic strips. Our campus is not only named Jean and Charles Schulz Campus; there are also statues of Peanuts characters, reminding us about our close bond we share. Peanuts characters were created to convey persistence, hopefulness and community.
