Antony Gormley’s ‘Inextricable’ is on view across White Cube and Thaddaeus Ropac in Seoul. At White Cube, six sculptures from the artist’s ongoing ‘Bunker’, ‘Beamer’ and ‘Blockwork’ series transform the body through the syntax of the built environment. Two life-sized cast iron ‘Blockworks’ are positioned outside, giving form to moments of bodily stillness. As the artist attests: ‘This is art made in the hope that it might make us more alive, alert and aware of the very changes that are happening all around us, in our minds and souls as much as in the comportment of our bodies. ‘Inextricable’ materialises how our bodies are now tethered to the architectures of our habitat.’ ‘Inextricable’ is on display at White Cube Seoul until 18 October 2025. 🔗 Click the link in our bio to find out more.
