Today,a set of match balls launched by adidasfootball for the fifaworldcup in the United States, Canada and Mexico was unveiled. The name of the ball is TRIONDA, where "TRI" means three and "ONDA"means wave in Spanish, so its Chinese name is “三重浪”. It innovatively uses four pieces of panel and adds the Connected Ball technology to the position of the leather for the official World Cup match balls. This is to better assist referees in making decisions on offside, suspected handball penalties, and whether the ball has crossed the goal line or gone out of bounds. The design of the TRIONDA features three distinct colors. The blue represents the stars of the United States and is adorned with the official logo of the 2026 World Cup.
