Five former Memphis police officers are facing charges in the death of Tyre Nichols. Emmitt Martin, Justin Smith, Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley and Desmond Mills Jr. are each facing charges of second-degree murder and aggravated assault, as well as two charges of aggravated kidnapping, two charges of official misconduct and one charge of official oppression, according to both Shelby County criminal court and Shelby County jail records.
