CHAMPION STYLEZ- Poughkeepsie High School 2021- '22 Boys Championship Basketball team I started this project at the end of last season with teams and players who held it down and followed through on their support of me and what I was doing. I wanted to take a more cultural approach to covering the game of basketball so I decided to make a barbershop poster of championship teams(to start). There are different reasons why I wanted to create this: • Players of black and brown complexions have a wide variety of hairstyle options- I wanted to highlight that. • Hairstyles are a form of individuality. • Many hair trends come from athletes. • Boys/men have a story to tell about their hair, too(even if the story isn’t super involving).
