Vintage Sound Effects! . Today we’re bringing it way back to the 1930’s with this classic clip from Popeye! Here’s my take on Olive Oyl making sandwiches with some delightful cartoonish flair. This animation was released exactly 90 years ago in 1934! .
It was a lot of fun to give a modern refresh to a piece that’s almost a century old! Thanks to fleischertoons for sending me this awesome clip – they’re doing some really cool work restoring these little slices of history. . It’s amazing to think that these animations were all made by hand without computers. It’s also amazing to think that this is my second video this month involving sandwiches being shuffled like playing cards. Now that’s niche! .
