Parts of the UK and Scandinavia were whipped with strong wind gusts and at least one person was killed when Storm Amy hit Ireland on Friday.⁣ ⁣ The man died in Letterkenny in Ireland’s northwest and more than 200,000 properties were left without power.⁣ ⁣ Dozens of flights were cancelled at the Netherlands’ Schiphol Airport due to the storm and weather warnings remain in place for the region with wind speeds expected to reach 90km/h in some parts of the Dutch coast. ⁣ ⁣ Strong winds of up to 154km/h were also recorded off Scotland's west coast. ⁣ ⁣ #Storm #Wildweather #UK #Europe
