Legacy Week Faculty Spotlight: Lissette Lucas
This week, we are honored to spotlight Lissette Lucas, a former Joffrey Ballet dancer whose career has spanned the stage, the studio, and the international dance community.
Lissette began her professional career with The Joffrey Ballet in 1988, performing leading roles in works by Balanchine, Ashton, Jooss, Cranko, Kylián, and Arpino. She later joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, where she was acclaimed for unforgettable portrayals including Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Lucy in Dracula, and more. Internationally, she has performed as a guest artist with The Daring Project, Teatro de Maggio Dance Company, and the Stars of Canadian Ballet tour.
