Legacy Week Faculty Spotlight: Adam Sklute
This week, we are honored to feature Adam Sklute, Artistic Director of Ballet West and former Associate Artistic Director and dancer with The Joffrey Ballet. Beginning his career with the Joffrey in the mid-1980s, Adam performed under the guidance of Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino before transitioning into leadership roles that have continued to shape the field of ballet today.
Since joining Ballet West in 2007, Adam has expanded the company’s national and international presence, presenting an acclaimed repertoire that includes works by George Balanchine, Jiří Kylián, Mark Morris, and Twyla Tharp. His dedication to cultivating both dancers and new choreography has positioned Ballet West as a vital platform for artistic innovation.
