Legacy Week Faculty Spotlight: Glenn Edgerton
This week, we are honored to feature Glenn Edgerton, whose career as a dancer, director, and educator has shaped the international dance landscape for more than four decades. Glenn spent 11 years with The Joffrey Ballet under the mentorship of Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino, performing principal roles in both classical masterworks and groundbreaking contemporary repertory. He later danced with Nederlands Dans Theater, where he was immersed in the visionary choreography of Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe, Hans van Manen, and many others.
Following his performing career, Glenn became Executive Artistic Director of NDT 1, leading the company for a decade and presenting works that expanded the global reach of contemporary dance. He went on to serve as Artistic Director of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago from 2009 to 2020, championing new choreographic voices and guiding the company onto the world stage.
