🏈Another HBCU football program is in the works of being revived! Wilberforce University recently announced the start of a new feasibility study to possibly get their football program back up and running by Fall 2027. According to the wilberforce_u website: “The feasibility study will assess infrastructure needs, funding sources, staffing, and student interest. It will also explore partnerships with local organizations and alumni to support the program’s potential relaunch.  “This isn’t just about football,” Dr. Newkirk added. “It’s about reclaiming a legacy, energizing our campus, and showing the world that Wilberforce is ready to lead again—on and off the field.
