In a recent study, an online gaming platform analyzed the 20 U.S. cities on last year's "Spookiest Cities Report" by home security company Vivint. The study found the Texas capital to be the most haunted city in the country, contrary to what practically every other such analysis shows. It asserts Austin has had by far the most ghost sightings among the list of the top 10 most haunted cities, despite having only three haunted locations (allegedly).
