Having worked in PR and communications for over 20 years, I learned early on how critical it was to stay on top of industry news. Back in the day, the stack of newspapers I’d have on my desk to get through before 10am would be much higher. Today, thanks to Twitter (my morning news feed provider) and digital media, I get most of my news online, on my phone or via my favorite podcasts, and receive just a handful of periodicals.
