1. Mishandling wet hair
Our strands are more fragile when they’re saturated with water. Brushing or combing hair in the shower, and following with aggressive towel-drying, can cause quite a lot of damage.
Save your strands: Minimize post-shower brushing by combing before the hair gets wet. Then, blot (don’t rub!) hair with a soft towel after your shower.
2. Excessive heat styling
If you're losing more hair than usual, take a really honest look at your use of heat-styling tools. Heat styling can damage hair that's already weakened and lead to breakage.
