On Monday October 6th, we came together in Washington D.C. to celebrate our stories and protect the freedom to read. We gathered at a time when fighting censorship and defending our First Amendment rights has never been more urgent. Throughout the evening, we heard from banned authors, teachers, librarians, advocates, students and parents on what the freedom to read means to them, why stories matter, and what we can do to save them. At Penguin Random House, we believe that engaging with a diversity of voices and perspectives is essential, and we are deeply grateful to stand alongside anyone who shares this commitment. This challenge demands not only our collective strength, but our collective action. #BannedBooksWeek #ReadBannedBooks #BannedBooks
