In 2015, we launched the Upcycling the Oceans project with the objective of recovering marine waste from the bottom of the ocean through the hands of the fishermen.
The project was led by the Ecoalf Foundation. Ten years later, +4,000 fishermen across five countries remove more than 400 tonnes of marine waste every year, of which 68% is later recycled for different use cases like the Ocean Yarn Ecoalf Collection.
In this episode, Javier Goyeneche, our founder, sits down with cyriellehariel to share how entrepreneurship and innovation can turn environmental challenges into global change.
