Car Friends, My press car for the next week is this beautiful 2024 Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo If you remember when I had the coupe (GranTurismo) I was pleasantly shocked at how capable a car it was, and given that it’s more GT than sports or supercar, a convertible seems entirely worth the extra weight. The car has a 200k MSRP and as optioned comes in at 230k. Maybe I’m just desensitized, but that seems like a pretty modest spec, so it will be interesting to see how that fares. This makes it about 20k cheaper than the coupe spec I reviewed, but I think the paint on that might have accounted for a lot of that difference. I’m sure there will be comparatively more chassis flex, but again who cares, when you have the top down you don’t need to go nearly as quick to have a great time.
