Authorities confirmed that Groves was taken into custody after a tense standoff with U.S. Marshals at a home in Southwest Atlanta. Law enforcement officials located him near the corner of Campbellton Road and Honeysuckle Lane, ending a months-long manhunt that began after a large-scale escape from the Orleans Parish jail in May. Groves was one of ten inmates who escaped the facility on May 16th.
