The Berkeley Forum, a non-partisan student-run organization that aims to create discourse on various topics, hosted a “fireside chat” with author and actor Chris Colfer.
Colfer discussed his work in television and film, as well as his experiences as an author. He even addressed the rumors about his former co-star’s ability to read and the role he played in queer representation on the show “Glee.”
“It was terrifying … Being openly gay in high school was not safe,” Colfer said. “(It was) one of the best experiences of my life, being a queer person on television.”
