What do you do when you’ve got 18 hours of driving in one weekend to make your friend’s wedding two states away? You throw your bike on the back of the car and find a random trail along the way.
Well… two trails actually, because the weather decided I wasn’t meant to finish the first one.
It’s definitely not what I’d call “restful” to drive all day (minus a quick ride), go to a wedding, and then do it all again the next morning. But I did get a lot of alone time to think.
Looking back, I realize that weekend was kind of a turning point. It’s when I finally started to see that things in my life were just… too much. Before that, I was moving so fast I didn’t even notice how little space I had to breathe.
What I’ve been realizing since then is that I don’t want to live in such a rush all the time. I want to slow down, make more space to enjoy life, and actually feel the moments in between.
