Haven’t you heard? Retired racehorses can do it all 😇 This week in Lexington, Kentucky, the largest Thoroughbred retraining competition in the world for recently retired racehorses - known as the Retired Racehorse Project’s Thoroughbred Makeover - is being held at the Kentucky Horse Park. It’s during the Makeover that hundreds of retired racehorses and their trainers compete in a variety of disciplines, including: Barrel Racing, Competitive Trail, Dressage, Eventing, Field Hunter, Polo, Ranch Work, Show Hunter, Show Jumper and Freestyle. Thoroughbreds have proven time and time again that not only are they incredible athletes on the track, but off the track in second careers too 🤩 A few notable names competing this week: Hozier (graded stakes-placed, stakes winner), Happy Farm (graded stakes winner), Dynamic One (graded stakes winner), Brooklyn Strong (graded stakes winner).
