The first-ever IIHHF hits the Bronx this Indigenous Peoples Day Weekend. 🎤🔥 In the heart of where DJ Kool Herc (kooldjherc) first sparked a global movement, Indigenous artists from across Turtle Island and Abya Yala are returning to hip hop’s roots — with purpose, pride, and power. The International Indigenous Hip Hop Festival (iihhfnyc) will unite artists for three days of performances, workshops, and community care — featuring hip-hop elders and legends DJ Kool Herc, Cindy Campbell, Grand Wizzard Theodore, and Abiodun Oyewole of The Last Poets. Featuring: 🎶 Drezus (Plains Cree/Saulteaux – Canada) 🎶 Nataanii Means (Oglala Lakota/Omaha/Diné – U.S.) 🎶 Renata Flores (Quechua – Peru) 🎶 Luanko + MC Millaray (Mapuche – Chile) 🎶 Mare Advertencia Lirika (Zapoteca – Oaxaca) 🎶 Bobby Sanchez (Quechua – Bronx) 🎶 Diogañhdih (Mohawk Nation – U.S./Canada) If you’re based in New York, you don’t want to miss this!
