March 13, 1991. I remember it being just a regular day on the Western New England college campus. I was playing junior hockey, so the season had just ended and I was enjoying just going to class and hanging out with friends. When I got to my friend Brett’s room after class that day, I immediately felt something was tragically wrong… There was a particular group of guys that I hung out with from Port Chester, New York. Really great group of guys that I had made friends with during the first semester. Lotta friendly banter about Eagles/Giants, Phillies/Mets/Yankees and all things Philadelphia versus New York. One gentleman who I became friends with was a quiet but strong character man named Eugene Miller. Gene introduced me to New York hip-hop and gave me my first fade haircut ever.
