That includes the Tresch family, Joe and Kathy Tresch and their three children, who steward more than 2,500 acres in Sonoma County and care for 750 cows. As Straus Family Creamery’s largest organic milk supplier, their farm is at the very heart of what we do. The Tresches began their organic journey in the mid-90s, becoming home to California’s second certified organic dairy herd. Their commitment to organic, pasture-based farming builds on a legacy that began when Joe’s family emigrated from Switzerland in the 1870s.
