Built by Detroit's Brian Thomson, this 2022 Devin Z custom roadster is powered by a 700hp LS7 V8 engine mated to a Getrag 6-speed manual transmission with a twin-disc hydraulic clutch from McLeod. This no-expense-spared hand-built tribute to Bill Devin, the 1956 SCCA Champion, was carved from a Brian Stupski rendering and took over 6,000 hours to complete. Built on a custom SR3 tube chassis, this vehicle is fitted with a one-off carbon-fiber body shell weighing just 161 pounds. The shell and its mold were created by Detroit's Motor City Solutions and mounted over inner panels hand-fabricated by Dave Daunheimer at Illinois' Competition Fabrications, forming integrated wheel wells, heat extractors and engine bay liner, with bodywork and paint by Illinois' D&M Corvette using a @ppgpaints custom basecoat with obsolete tints.
