In 2014, a bold idea was born: to fly directly from Cape Town to Antarctica. Guided by whispers of an abandoned Norwegian runway known as Blue 1, the team set out to rediscover and transform it.
Wolf’s Fang Runway rose from the blue-ice plains through vision, persistence, and expertise — from mapping a 600 km traverse across crevasse-riddled glaciers, to shaping a surface that shifts two meter each year, and groomed for 22 hours before every landing.
When the first flight touched down, this visionary gateway to the Last Frontier became reality!
Wolf’s Fang Runway is where human ingenuity meets one of the planet’s most unforgiving landscapes; and to land here is to arrive at the world’s most extraordinary and remote frontiers.
