Ayo Edebiri spoke to Out Magazine about the uniqueness of queer dating, friendship, and identity.
While discussing her character, Maggie, in the new film ‘After the Hunt’, Edebiri reflected on her own queer version of the ‘f*ck, marry, kill’ game:
“My friend and I used to have this joke that for straight people it's like, f*ck, marry, kill. But for queer people, it's like, fck, befriend, or become. Just those feelings you're sort of like, Where am I? And sometimes it literally could change in a day or all at once... And so when I think of Maggie, she's very much wanting all of it.”
Edebiri revealed that her character in the film, After The Hunt, struggles with the boundaries of admiration, sexual and romantic attraction, and obsession.
