Day 1 of Seven Facts about NISA! For the first fact, we're looking back at the 24 clubs that have played in the league since its inception in 2019. These teams represent the independent spirit of American soccer, with histories that include league championships, rivalries, and community stories. Some of the notable clubs to have competed include: Detroit City FC: Two-time champions who have since moved to the USL Championship. Oakland Roots SC: The West Coast club helped kick off the league in 2019 and also moved to the USL. Miami FC: Another founding member with a history in the NASL, also now in the USL.
