This week, we’re shining a light on common mental health challenges that affect college students, not to diagnose but to educate, reduce stigma, and share ways to support ourselves and others.
ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental conditions among college students. It's more than just distraction. It can affect focus, time management, emotional regulation, and daily routines.
Students with ADHD often wish others understood that it affects how they think, feel, and manage everyday life, and that patience and support go a long way.
They also want professors to know that clear expectations, flexibility, and understanding help them succeed. They’re working hard, even when it doesn’t always show.
